For those who don’t know much about this extroardinary political figure, as I didn’t not so long ago and wish to, these sites may interest you.
The opinions about him greatly differ (especially where Americans are concerned – you will learn why) but as this site name suggests; you can decide for youself where you stand.
I’m finding the older I am getting (hush hush) the more interested and curious I am in the world around me. I like to think it’s a maturing process as I look beyond myself and self-interest and care about the world that provides for me.
So, as an avid current news watcher when I came across this name, that I somehow remembered from youth, in recent news due to his departure from office I decided to learn more about him and was quite interested in my findings.

If you get the chance, read ‘My Life’ with Ignacio Ramonet. Fidel is a really insightful guy, and he is a brilliant politician. What he has done for Cuba under American pressure is amazing.

I cannot believe you could even say that about Castro. Being Cuban, this makes me rather angry. He is a cruel, callous dictator. There is a reason people try to escape Cuba to America.
